Elizabeth Vroom and Derek Hamilton were named the Queen's University Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances over the weekend.

Elizabeth Vroom (Engineering) won two medals at the OUA Track & Field Championships this past weekend, capturing the silver medal in the Women's 1,500M event and the bronze medal in the Women's 4X800M event alongside teammates Olivia Hendrikx, Gillian Porter, and Caleigh Pribaz.

Queen's Distance Track will now prepare for the U SPORTS Track & Field Championships in Winnipeg, Man. from March 5-7.

Derek Hamilton (Arts & Science) tallied three points in two games in Queen's Men's Hockey's series win over the McGill Redbirds, including the overtime winner in Game 2 against the No. 3 seed Redbirds that sent the No. 6 seed Gaels into Round 2 of the OUA Men's Hockey playoffs.

Queen's Men's Hockey opens their Round 2 series visiting the Concordia Stingers on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 PM. Fans can watch the game on OUA.tv. The Gaels will host the Stingers on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 PM at the Memorial Centre. Fans can purchase tickets to the game on the Queen's Gaels Tickets website.
