Emma Tennant stopped two of three shooters to help lead Queen's Women's Hockey past the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 2-1 Friday night in Oshawa, Ont.
Cranney (Arts & Science) also scored in regulation for the Gaels in the win.
Jada Wood (Arts & Science) assisted on Cranney's first period goal. Cranney now has 14 goals and 24 points in 22 games for the Gaels, both of which lead the team and rank second in the OUA.
Along with stopping two of three shooters in the shootout, Tennant (Mechanical Engineering) made 32 stops in regulation and overtime for Queen's.
With the victory, the Gaels improved their record to 16-5-1 on the season, which leads the OUA East standings. Queen's will close out their weekend road trip tomorrow when they visit the York Lions for a Saturday matinee, with puck drop scheduled for 3 PM.
