The team will put the Yates Cup on the line and look to defend the conference championship and earn their way to the 61
st Vanier Cup in Quebec City, Que.
"Kingston and Queen's can be proud of the 2025 team, a resilient group that stuck together and continued to improve all season long preparing for a championship run in November, capturing the 24th Yates Cup in program history and first since 2009," said Queen's Football Head Coach
Steve Snyder.
"2026 brings new challenges, many returning players eager to improve and chase championship football, and also several outstanding seniors graduating. For us it won't be about defending the 2025 title, it's about chasing the 2026 season and embracing every opportunity to grow and get better. We look forward to huge crowds at Richardson this fall, everyone should be excited about our program."
"Chase the Yates Cup with us in 2026, we need loud and supportive fans who aim to make an impact on game day"

After starting last season 1-2, Queen's Football ended the 2025 regular season on a hot streak, winning four of their last five games to finish fourth in the standings with a 5-3 record. The Tricolour opened the postseason with a quarterfinals win over the McMaster Marauders before exacting some revenge on the Windsor Lancers – who defeated Queen's in the final week of the regular season – to earn a spot in the Yates Cup championship.
Propelled by an excellent defensive performance against then defending Yates Cup champions, the Laurier Golden Hawks, Queen's Football would go on to raise the conference banner for the first time in 16 years. Queen's finished the 2025 season at the Mitchell Bowl, falling to the Saskatchewan Huskies.
The 2025 season had a little bit of everything for Queen's Football, from sell-out crowds and multiple overtimes shootouts to blowouts and record-setting performances. 2026 is sure to have plenty of action and excitement in store as well!
