Queen's Football proudly inducts Hall of Fame, Class of 2025

Queen's Football proudly inducted their Class of 2025 into the Queen's Football Hall of Fame Friday night.

Name: Sam Sabourin
Category: Player
Linebacker (2010-13)
Sabourin was a three-time Second Team All-Canadian and first-team OUA All-Star (2011-13) while with Queen's, in addition to winning the 2010 Norm Marshall Award for OUA Rookie of the Year. Sabourin holds numerous records for Queen's Football including single season total tackles (2010 – 78), single season solo tackles (2010 – 50), single season tackles for a loss (2012 – 9.5), career tackles for a loss (30.5), and single game solo tackles (2010 vs. McMaster – 10).

Name: Ryan Graberg
Category: Player
Running Back (2008-13)
Granberg was an integral part of Queen's Football's historic 2009 team which captured the Yates Cup, Mitchell Bowl, and Vanier Cup. Granberg was a three-time OUA All-Star (First Team 2011, Second Team in 2012 and 2013) and a two-time All-Canadian (Second Team 2011 and 2012). Granberg also holds multiple Queen's Football records including Career Rushing Yards and Career Rushing Touchdowns, and is third and fifth on Queen's Football's All-Time Single-Season Rushing Yards list.

Category: Player
Kicker/Punter (2006-10)
Dan Village was a key part of Queen's Football's historic 2009 team that captured the Yates Cup, Mitchell Bowl, and Vanier Cup. Village set 14 school records while at Queen's, highlighted by Career Points (334), Career Field Goals (54), and Single Season Field Goal Percentage (2009 – 92.3). Village, who was twice named a Second Team OUA All-Star (2008, 2010) also ranks second in Single Season Punt Yards (2008 – 2,759) and third in Career Punt Yards.

Name: Tim Pendergast
Category: Player
Quarterback (1989-92)
Tim Pendergast won three Dunsmore Cups while with Queen's Football (1989, 1991, 1992) along with the 1992 Churchill Bowl and 1992 Vanier Cup. Pendergast features prominently on Queen's Football's All-Time Passing Stats list including second for Career Completions (311), and third for Career Passing Yards (4,432), Career Touchdown Passes (37), and Single Season Touchdown Passes (1989 – 14) among others.

Name: Derek Wiggan
Category: Player
Defensive Lineman (2010-14)
Derek Wiggan was a three-time OUA All-Star while playing with Queen's Football (First Team 2012, Second Team 2011, 2013, and 2014) and a First Team All-Canadian in 2013). Wiggan, who holds the Queen's Football record for Career Tackles for a Loss and Single Season Tackles for a Loss, was drafted into the CFL after playing with Queen's Football and enjoyed a distinguished 10-year career with the Calgary Stampeders.

Name: Osie Ukwuoma
Category: Player
Defensive Lineman (2005-09, 2011)
Osie Ukwuoma was an integral part of Queen's Football's historic 2009 team that captured the Yates Cup, Mitchell Bowl, and Vanier Cup and was named a First Team OUA All-Star and First Team All-Canadian that season. It was one of four seasons Ukwuoma was named a First Team All-Star, along with 2007, 2008, and 2011, and one of two seasons Ukuoma was named a First Team All-Canadian, along with 2008. Ukuoma ranks second on Queen's Football's Career Sack list with 24.5 and fourth in Career Tackles for a Loss with 18.

Name: Joel Dagnone

Defensive Back
Joel Dagnone was a key part of Queen's Football's historic 1992 team that captured the Dunsmore Cup, Churchill Bowl, and Vanier Cup. Dagnone was named a First Team OQIFC All-Star that season, and followed it up by being named a Second Team All-Canadian in the 1993 season. Dagnone is tied for first on Queen's Football's All-Time list in Single Season Interceptions with eight.

Name: Cam Innes

Offensive Centre
Cam Innes was a key member of Queen's Football's successful run in the late 60s and early 70s, a team that captured the 1968 Yates Cup, Churchill Bowl, and Vanier Cup, as well as the 1970 Yates Cup. Innes was selected by the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL Draft after playing with Queen's Football.

Name: Pat Sheahan
Category: Builder
Head Coach (2000-18)
Pat Sheahan's incredible 19-year coaching career with Queen's Football included capturing the 2009 Yates Cup, Mitchell Bowl, and Vanier Cup, and being named the OUA Coach of the Year three times (2001, 2007, and 2008) and the Frank Tindall Trophy as National Coach of the Year in 2009. Sheahan is third all-time in coaching wins with Queen's Football with 103 and second all-time in playoff wins with 12. Sheahan also holds nine offensive team records for Queen's Football, including Single Season Points per Game (2013 – 44.2), and 17 offensive single season records. More than 100 Queen's Football players were named All-Stars, and 39 were named All-Canadians under Sheahan.

Name: Pat Tracey

Special Teams/Defensive Coordinator (2000-16)
Pat Tracey was a key member of Queen's Football's coaching staff on the historic 2009 team that captured the Yates Cup, Mitchell Bowl, and Vanier Cup. Tracey leads all Queen's Football defensive coordinators with 83 career wins and holds nine defensive team records. Under Tracey, Queen's Football had two OUA Metras Trophy winners, 1 OUA and U SPORTS Presidents Trophy winner, one U SPORTS Russ Jackson Trophy winner, and one OUA Rookie of the Year. 50 OUA All-Stars and 17 All-Canadians suited up for Queen's under Tracey.

Ron Augustine was a key member of Queen's Football's staff, helping with coaching, recruiting, and administration work under Queen's Football head coaches Doug Hargreaves, Bob Howes, and Pat Sheahan. Augustine was part of the historic 2009 team that captured the Yates Cup, Mitchell Bowl, and Vanier Cup.

Name: Frank Halligan
Category: Builder
Frank Halligan was a valued member of Queen's Football's staff from 1994-2000, helping as an assistant coach as well as serving on hiring committees, alumni committees, and helping with the Lang Pavilion project. Halligan was awarded the Sr. Football Coaches Award and inducted into the Regiopolis-Notre Dame High School Hall of Fame in 1994, as well as the Gaels Builder of Men award in 1998 and the 2023 Padre Laverty Award.

Name: Claude Scilley
Category: Builder
Claude Scilley is recognized for excellent coverage of Queen's Football as a sports journalist from 1972-96, city editor from 1996-2001, and sports editor from 2001-08. Scilley, who was awarded the KJ Stachan Award for editorial writing in 2008 and the Special Merit Award from Queen's in 1993, was the voice of the Gaels for the Kingston Whig. Scilley also created the website sportkingston.ca.

Mike Postovit worked at CKWS for 42 years as a videographer and reporter, covering local stories with a focus on sports for most of his career. There was not a sport that Postovit did not cover during his more than four decades of community commitment, and Postovit was especially passionate about covering Queen's Football over the years.

Name: Doug Jeffries
Category: Builder
Doug Jeffries worked in broadcasting in the Kingston area for 46 years. Jeffries started at CKLC Radio in 1976 where he eventually became Sports Director, before moving to CKWS in 1999 as Sports Anchor until 2022. During his time as sportscaster, Jeffries covered numerous local teams, including the Queen's Gaels, where he also served as public address announcer for several years. Jeffries, who was given the Special Recognition Award from Queen's in 2019, is recognized for his outstanding and passionate coverage of Queen's Football throughout his career.

Name: Max Jackson
Category: Builder
Max Jackson was involved in local sports in Kingston in numerous capacities, including coaching and scouting hockey, and founding the Kingston Lions Club baseball league. Jackson also served as the public address announcer for Queen's Football at Richardson Stadium. Jackson started at CKWS in 1956 and would do two television and five radio broadcasts per week and go on to become Sports Director. Jackson is recognized for his outstanding and passionate coverage of Queen's Football.
