The Queen's Men's and Women's Swimming teams competed in the 2025 OUA Swimming Championships in Markham over the weekend.
The Women's Swimming team placed eight overall, while the Men's Swimming team placed tenth overall.
Top performances for Queen's on the women's side came from
Kimberly Song (Health Sciences) who raced to a time of 1.15:29 in the 100 Metre Breaststroke, placing 15th overall, and
Jayden MacDonald (Kinesiology) who placed 15th overall with a time of 5:13.46 in the 400 Meter Individual Medley, 13th overall with a time of 2:46.38 in the 200 Metre Breaststroke.
On the men's side,
Yasseen Madi (Life Science) delivered a stellar swim in the A Final of the 50 Metre Backstroke with a time of 26.08, good enough to break his own Queen's School Record in the category and place 7th overall. Yasseen didn't stop with one record as he also set a new Queen's School Record in the B Final of the 100 Metre Backstroke with a time of 57.72, placing 9th overall.
