Queen's University welcomed 276 athletes from OUA teams along with fencers from clubs across Ontario as well as Manitoba and Quebec. The Gaels won two gold and a silver at home in the first event of their 2025-26 OUA season with strong showings in all six events. 
 
Rookie Graham Goodwin won Queen's Fencing Team's first medal of the year earning the Silver medal in a tense 14-15 final match in the Men's Epee event on Saturday.
 
In Sunday's events first-year Queen's Men's Foilist Graeme Wood won Gold in his first competition as a Gael in an exciting 15-14 final. 
 
In the final event of the weekend Tatiana Gayowsky repeated her teammates success winning Gold in a decisive 15-7 final bout in Women's Sabre. 
 
Other Top 8 results were earned by Joyce Lyn Fox and Luke Steverango who 6th place in Women's and Men's Sabre; Women's Epee Captain Elizabeth Fullerton and Autumn Xinyi Wang finished 7th and 8th respectively in Women's Epee; and Women's Foil Captain Sarah Jacobson also placed 8th overall in her event.
 
Queen's Fencing is back in action next weekend (Nov 1st-2nd) at the RMC Team Fencing Invitational.
