Queen's Men's Hockey hit the road to Trois-Rivières in search of their second win of the season, facing off against a UQTR Patriotes squad with an identical 1–1 record. Goaltender Aidan Spooner (Business) came up huge early, turning aside multiple shots on a tough penalty kill to keep the game scoreless. The Gaels held strong defensively and pushed back with a few quality chances of their own, but UQTR broke through late in the period, slipping one past Queen's to take a 1–0 lead after 20 minutes.
The Gaels came out strong to start the second, and it paid off early. Kolton Cousins (Arts & Science) buried his second of the season at 10:35, finishing a slick setup from Nolan Hutcheson (Health Studies) and Cameron Tolnai (Business) to even things up 1–1. Momentum swung back toward UQTR late in the frame, as they regained the lead with a goal to make it 2–1. The Patriotes struck again in the final seconds off a face-off rebound, extending their advantage and taking a two-goal cushion into the third period.
Queen's had the first tally in the third period, with rookie Colin Holmes (Arts & Sciences) scoring his first goal as a Gael, assisted by Ian Lemieux (Arts & Sciences), cutting the deficit to 3–2. The Gaels pressured UQTR throughout the period, generating several quality scoring chances, but the Patriotes' defense held firm, maintaining their one-goal lead. Ultimately, the UQTR Patriotes held on to take the win 3–2
Notably, Goaltender Aidan Spooner (Business) was a standout for the Gaels, finishing the game with 37 saves.
