Queen's Women's Rugby continued their dominant start to the season with a commanding 95-3 win over the Waterloo Warriors on Sunday. Coming into the game ranked No. 2 in U SPORTS, the Gaels showcased their depth and cohesion with a relentless offensive performance, scoring 15 tries and converting eight.
Early tries from Maia Swemmer (Arts & Science), Guinevere O'Hara (Fine Art), and Jiggy Schonfeld (Kinesiology) gave Queen's a 26-0 lead within the first 30 minutes, while Lauryn Bons (Kinesiology) added four conversions to cement the lead. Waterloo's only points came from a penalty kick by Philippa Reid before halftime.
The second half saw Queen's continue their dominance, with standout performances from Robyn Baker (Arts & Science), who scored two tries, and Siobhan Sheerin (Arts & Science), who closed the game with back-to-back tries.
Jayne Armatage (Arts & Science) and O'Hara also found the try line, while Bons continued with excellent kicking form, adding to her growing point tally. With back-to-back emphatic victories, Queen's looks poised to maintain their top position as they pursue another OUA title.
