Lauren Lowther finished on the podium for Queen's Women's Cross Country at the Capital XC Challenge in Ottawa, Ont. on Saturday.
Lowther (Graduate Studies) finished third in the 6km race with a time of 22:43.09, two seconds ahead of the fourth place finisher.
Emma Graham (Concurrent Education - Political Studies Major) was the Gaels' second highest finisher on the Women's side, crossing the line in seventh with a time of 23:07.60.
Jasmine Stokes (Applied Science) finished 12th overall with a time of 23:28.46 and
Gillian Porter (Applied Science) finished 13th with a time of 23:30.17.
On the Men's side,
Peter Neill (Applied Science) was the top finisher for the Gaels, finishing 10th overall with a time of 19:14.00.Â
Owen Danby (Arts & Science) was 16th overall with a time of 19:29.05 and
Emmett Harrington (Applied Science) was 23rd overall at 20:05.97.
Queen's Cross Country returns to action in two weeks, when they will compete in the Bayfront Invitational in Hamilton, Ont. on Friday, Oct. 11.
