KINGSTON, Ont. (July 18, 2024) – Queen's Athletics & Recreation announced today that Nadia Jagar has been named Director, Service & Operations. In this role, Jagar will be responsible for the leadership, development, coordination, and execution of service and operations initiatives that support and enhance the experience of all Athletics & Recreation participants.
Jagar is a distinguished leader with over 26 years in various academic institutions across Canada, with expertise in student affairs, academic affairs, policy, governance, finance, and facilities.
She has been with Queen's University for the past eight years, serving in the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) as Director, Finance and Operations, where she oversaw strategy on high-priority projects, provided leadership and guidance on operational decision-making, and facilitated the management of budgets and administrative operations.

"Nadia's outstanding reputation earned over her eight years in the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal is well-deserved, and we are excited to have her bring her expertise to the department. Nadia's policy, governance, and finance experience will be an invaluable resource as we continually strive to create excellent offerings and memorable moments for our students and community members in Athletics & Recreation. Prior to Jagar's time at Queen's, she spent nearly eight years at Ontario Tech University, first as a Planning & Budget Officer in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Education before moving to Policy Analyst and Compliance Officer. Jagar also spent three years at the Rotman School of Management as Associate Director, MBA Program Services, and Assistant Director, Master of Finance Program.

Jagar has a Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont. and a Master of Public Administration (Management) from Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S.
Jagar will begin in the Director, Service & Operations position on July 22, 2024.
