KINGSTON, Ont. (March 26, 2024) - Queen's Men's Ultimate was named Queen's University Varsity Club of the Year for the 2023-24 during the 88th annual Colour Awards banquet Tuesday night.

The Award of Merit is presented annually to the top performing Varsity Club. This award recognizes the club's competitive success, community involvement and other attributes which have brought the most honour and recognition to Queen's.

After winning the Steeltown Classic in the regular season, Queen's Men's Ultimate would go on to capture the Canadian Eastern University Championship and the Canadian University Ultimate Championship. The Gaels rolled through an undefeated 16-0 season on their way to the national championship. The Gaels were also awarded with three major awards, including Player of the Year to Tyler Gunasekera, Rookie of the Year to Kai Huang, and Coaches of the Year to Pete Galbraith and Mike Cabral.
