Queen's Athletics & Recreation and the Queen's Football program were saddened to learn of the passing of
Dale Sands on March 9, 2024, following a lengthy battle with brain cancer .
Sands joined the Queen's Football coaching staff in 2018 and held various roles during his time with the program, including Offensive Assistant, Defensive Assistant, Linebackers Coach and Football Operations Analyst. He was also a committed coach of both the Kingston Grenadiers and Frontenac Secondary School football programs.
Dale is survived by his partner, Shawna, his children Ty and Mia, and his grandchildren Beckett and Mia.
