Queen's Women's Rugby alumna
Carmen Izyk was named to Canada's Women's Sevens Team for the 2025 HSBC SVNS Series, Rugby Canada announced last week.
Izyk (Nursing) is one of 14 players to be named to the senior national squad that will compete in the HSBC SVNS Series in Dubai, UAE starting on November 30.
Izyk played for Queen's Women's Rugby from 2019-2023 and finished as the program's all-time leader in tries with 31.
Izyk was a four-time All-Canadian, named a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian in 2019 and First Team All-Canadian from 2021-23, and a four-time OUA First Team All-Star.
Izyk helped the Gaels win three OUA Championships (2019, 2022, 2023) and a U SPORTS Women's Rugby National Championship on Nixon Field in 2021.
