KINGSTON, Ont. (Feb. 23, 2023) - Queen's Men's Hockey's Luke Richardson signed a professional tryout contract (PTO) with the American Hockey League's Belleville Senators on Thursday.

Richardson recently completed his third season with the Gaels, finishing with a 2.76 goals against average and .906 save percentage in 27 games.

"Hockey after school has always been a goal of mine and still want to pursue that," Richardson told GoGaelsGo.com this past season.

Ahead of last season, Richardson attended the Tampa Bay Lightning's Development Camp.

The Barrie, Ont. native was named an OUA All-Star and U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian, as well as the OUA Goaltender of the Year for the Far East and East Divisions in 2021-22 after finishing the year with a 1.34 GAA, .944 save percentage, and conference-leading 10 wins.

In 30 games for Queen's in 2019-20, Richardson recorded a .904 save percentage and 2.67 GAA.

Prior to his time with the Gaels, Richardson spent four seasons with the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
