KINGSTON, Ont. (Jan. 9, 2022) - Alyson Reeves and Luke Richardson have been named the Queen's University Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances on the ice over the weekend.

Reeves helped Queen's Women's Hockey earn points in both road games over the weekend, scoring two goals in the Gaels' 5-2 win over the Laurier Golden Hawks Friday night while adding two assists in Queen's 3-2 overtime loss to the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday.

Queen's Women's Hockey now sit third in the OUA East standings with a 3-5-4-4 record.

Richardson played a key role in Queen's Men's Hockey weekend sweep of the Nipissing Lakers. Richardson finished Friday's 4-2 win over Nipissing with 37 saves and a .949 save percentage, and in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Lakers Richardson recorded 32 saves and a .914 save percentage. Richardson did not allow a goal in the shootout.

With the two wins, the Gaels improved their record to 7-9-2 and sit seventh in the OUA East standings.
