OUA releases 2026-27 Hockey schedules; Women's and Men's Hockey home openers scheduled for Oct. 16-17 weekend

The OUA released the 2026-27 Women's and Men's Hockey schedules on Tuesday, with Queen's set to host their home openers at Memorial Centre on the weekend of Oct. 16-17.

After starting their season on the road against the Ontario Tech Ridgeback on Friday, Oct. 16, Queen's Women's Hockey will complete the home-and-home series with the Ridgebacks on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 4:30 pm at the Memorial Centre in the Gaels' home opener.

Queen's Men's Hockey also starts the season on the road, visiting the UQTR Patriotes for a doubleheader on Friday, Oct. 9 and Saturday, Oct. 10, before returning home to host the Concordia Stingers in their home opener at the Memorial Centre, Friday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 pm. The Gaels also host the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 pm, making it a Women's and Men's Hockey doubleheader at Memorial Centre.

Queen's Women's Hockey will host another school day game this season when the Gee-Gees visit the Memorial Centre on Friday, Jan. 15.

Queen's Men's Hockey will host the 39th Carr-Harris Challenge Cup, taking on their cross-town rivals, the RMC Paladins, on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 pm at Slush Puppie Place.

OUA Playoffs for Women's Hockey opens Friday, Feb. 26 with the McCaw Cup scheduled for Saturday, March 20.

OUA Playoffs for Men's Hockey opens Wedensday, Feb. 24 with the Queen's Cup scheduled for Saturday, March 20.

Queen's Women's Hockey finished last year with a 19-6-1 record in the regular season, first in the OUA East Division standings.

Queen's Men's Hockey finished last season with a 14-13-1 regular season record before capturing the OUA bronze medal and advancing to the U SPORTS Men's Hockey Championship.
