Queen's Swimming's Erin Lee was presented with the Peer Leadership Award from Queen's University Student Affairs this summer, recognizing her leadership throughout the 2021-22 season.
The Peer Leadership Award is presented to students who, through their commitment, skill, dedication, and interest in helping others, have exemplified excellence in peer-to-peer assistance and outreach.
Lee (PhD'24), a former captain of Queen's Swimming Team, stepped up this past season to become the head coach.
Lee sought out coaching resources and mentorship opportunities and helped develop individualized training for all 36 members of the team.
"I want to congratulate and express my gratitude to this year's recipients for their significant contributions, leadership, and engagement, on campus and in the community," said Ann Tierney, Vice-Provost and Dean of Student Affairs. "We are pleased to recognize and showcase the initiative and commitment to positive change these students are demonstrating at Queen's and in Kingston."
