GAME FLOW
The Gaels battled hard against the No.7 nationally ranked Laurentian Voyageurs but were unable to come away with a victory. Voyageurs guard Kadre Gray proved to be the difference tallying a game-high 29 points in the Laurentian victory.Â
Laurentian opened the game with a hot start but the Gaels battle back late in the first quarter in large part due to the stellar play of Landon Brickenden, who finished the night with 13 points off the bench. After entering the second quarter with a 23-21 lead, the Voyageurs fought back as Haroun Mohammed scored eight points in the frame to propel Laurentian to a 43-39 lead at halftime.Â
Despite strong performances from the Gaels lead by Quinton Gray who scored 16 points on five threes and added four steals, and Harry Range who contributed 15 points, the Voyageurs pulled away in the second half and never looked back outscoring Queen's 45-35 to win the contest 88-74.Â
