WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: No.10 nationally-ranked Gaels to honour Seniors in final home game Saturday
The No.10 Queen's Gaels (11-7) continue to chase down a home playoff game this weekend when they host the Laurentian Voyageurs (2-16) Friday night and Nipissing Lakers (3-15) on Saturday. Both games are set for 6 pm tip-offs.

The Gaels are coming off a pair of victories defeating both Waterloo and Laurier last weekend as they continue their chase for a home playoff game. Currently, the Gaels sit in the final spot to host an opening-round OUA playoff game after Guelph lost to Ryerson. Queen's holds the edge with a better winning percentage than the Gryphons.

Both Laurentian and Nipissing have struggled this season, Laurentian has lost 13 straight while the Lakers have dropped their last four contests.

Queen's will honour their graduating seniors on Saturday night in a special ceremony. This year Adriana Conti and Myriam Fontaine will be recognized. Conti has appeared in six contests this year averaging 6.7 minutes and 2.3 points per game while Fontaine has appeared in 13 while starting seven contests. Fontaine is averaging 15.7 minutes and 5.5 points to go along with 3.2 rebounds per game.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: Gaels set to clash with No.7 Laurentian Friday, honour graduating senior Harry Range Saturday
After a pair of victories last weekend over Waterloo and Laurier, the Queen's Gaels (12-6) are back in action this weekend at home as they welcome the No.7 nationally ranked Laurentian Voyageurs (13-5) on Friday and the Nipissing Lakers (6-12) on Saturday. Both games are set for 8 pm tip-offs.

The Gaels continue to fight for a home playoff game and sit just two points behind Laurentian in the OUA East. A win over Laurentian will go a long way in helping the Gaels lock down a home game. After this weekend the Gaels close out with a pair of road games at York and No.5 Lakehead.

Laurentian has won their last three straight games and also picked up a victory over Ottawa, who they sit just four points behind in the OUA East.  Nipissing has a 6-12 record but has won two straight games defeating both Guelph and Algoma.

Queen's will honour their graduating senior on Saturday night in a special ceremony. This year Harry Range will be recognized. Range has started all 17 games he's played this season for the Gaels and is averaging a career-best 14.1 points per game. He is also one of the co-presidents of this year's Varsity Leadership Council.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY: Gaels continue push for playoffs, honour graduating senior Kaylie Dennis Saturday
The Queen's Gaels (8-9-3-1) host the Western Mustangs (8-7-3-2) on Friday and the Windsor Lancers (1-14-2-3) on Saturday with both games set for 7:30 pm puck drops at the Memorial Centre.

The Gaels currently sit in ninth place in the OUA but are just one point behind both Western and Ryerson. A regulation win over Western on Friday will go a long way in aiding the Gaels playoff efforts. Queen's will then look to take advantage of last place Windsor, whom they travel to face in the final game of the season as well next weekend.

Western currently sits in seventh in the OUA with 32 points and a game in hand on Queen's. Windsor has struggled all season and has won just one game in regulation.

Queen's will honour their graduating senior on Saturday night in a special ceremony. This year Kaylie Dennis will be recognized. Dennis has played in all 21 games this season and has a team-leading 10 points having scored five goals and five assists.
