KINGSTON, Ont. (January 24th, 2020) – Eric Margo scored two to aid the Gaels (10-11-2) to a victory over the No.9 nationally-ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees (15-6-3) on Friday night in OUA men's hockey action.

GAME FLOW
The opening twenty minutes ended with both teams heading into the locker room still looking for the game's first goal.

At the start of the third and Ottawa having scored in the second, Queen's would have to get things going quick as the final period began.

Though Duncan Campbell would eventually win the game for the Gaels later in the night, Eric Margo had just as much to celebrate scoring the only two red, blue and gold goals of the game during the third. Margo currently sits second on the Gaels with six goals on the season.

Margo's first would tie things up 1-1, however Ottawa would answer back quickly making it 2-1

With 3:06 left in the third, Margo scored his second to tie things up 2-2 and send the game into the Gaels second overtime game of the week.

No goals in the additional five minutes which sent the game into a shootout.

After seven consecutive shots by the Gaels including shooters Eric Margo, Mason Kohn and Matthew Hotchkiss attempting to win it for Queen's, Duncan Campbell scored the lone goal during Friday night's shootout to send the Gaels fans attending Memorial Centre home happy after a thrilling win.
