KINGSTON, Ont. (February 8, 2019) – The Queen's Gaels (10-6) extended their winning streak to three games with a 3-1 set victory over their cross-town rival RMC Paladins (0-16).
The win marked the Gaels' final road victory of the regular season as they'll play their final three games at the ARC before playoffs roll around.
GAME FLOW
The opening set has been a strength for the Gaels recently as they've taken the first set in three of their last four matches. Tonight was no different as they made a strong impression in a 25-18 set win.
The Gaels used that momentum to build a significant gap in the second set. Keeping their foot on the gas pedal, the Gaels pulled away for a 25-12 set win.
The Paladins responded in the third as they grinded out a 25-21 set win to bring them back to within striking distance. The win was just the Paladins' 10
th set win of the season.
However, the Gaels were quick to stop any momentum coming from the opposition in red as they took the fourth set 25-16 for the victory.
