Men's Hockey Playoffs vs Carleton
The OUA East final is set as the No.8 nationally ranked and fourth-seed Queen's Gaels (4-1) take on the No.4 nationally ranked and second-seed Carleton Ravens (4-1).
The Gaels finished the OUA season just two points behind the Ravens in the standings for second place, and the two teams split their season series with the Ravens winning in Ottawa 6-3 and the Gaels taking the matchup in Kingston 5-2.
Queen's swept the Concordia Stingers in the opening round and then took down the top-seeded Ottawa Gee-Gees winning both road games including a game three victory last Sunday. For Carleton, they drew the UQTR Patriotes in the opening round sweeping the series and then skated past McGill with a game three victory of their own on Sunday coming in overtime.
The Ravens have seen a balanced attack in the playoffs with four players registering a point per game pace led by Jared Steege (4-2—6) who scored the series winner in overtime Sunday night over McGill. For the Gaels, seven players have four or more points in the five games so far, and
Slater Doggett (4-4—8) leads the way for Queen's.
In goal,
Justin Fazio has started all five games for the Gaels and is sporting a 3.36 GAA and 0.909 SV% so far this playoff. For the Ravens, Francoise Brassard has been between the pipes for every game and sports a 2.96 GAA and 0.912 SV%.
Game one of the series goes Thursday night in Ottawa with the puck-drop set for 7:00 pm. The Gaels will host game two of the best-of-three series on Friday night at the Memorial Centre with a start time of 7:30 pm. If game three is necessary, it will go back to Ottawa on Sunday at 7:00 pm.

Men's Volleyball Playoffs vs Guelph
Finishing out the season as the top seed in the OUA East the Gaels now host a quarter-final playoff match which sees the East and West cross-over as the Gaels welcome the fourth-seed in the West the Guelph Gryphons to the ARC on Saturday at 3 pm.
The Gaels have been a nearly unstoppable force this season, finishing with a 15-3 record with wins in eight straight and 13 of their last 14 games. Queen's was also one of the two teams in the OUA this year to defeat the top seed in the West the McMaster Marauders and the only team to do so in Hamilton. Queen's led by
Zac Hutcheson who finished second in the OUA in kills at 266 and third with a 0.312 hitting percentage. Setter
Zane Grossinger averaged 9.97 assists per set in the regular season, second best in the conference.
The Gaels last loss, however, came at the hand of the Guelph Gryphons in Guelph on January 18. Queen's started 2019 with a road swing through Guelph and Waterloo and dropped a 3-1 match to the Gryphons. The Tricolour opened that match by taking an extended opening set 26-24 but then fell in the next three tightly contested outings.
Guelph enters the playoffs with an 8-9 record but has lost their last five straight matches, four of which came on the road. Guelph won just three sets through February. The Gryphon's Ben Kissack finished fifth in the OUA in digs per set at 2.16.

Women's Volleyball Playoffs at Western
The Gaels will enter the OUA playoffs as the third seed in the East and will travel to London, Ontario to battle the second-seed in the West, as the two divisions cross-over, the Western Mustangs on Saturday at 2:30 pm in the OUA playoff quarter-final.
The Gaels finished out the season with a 13-6 record just two points shy of second in their division. Queen's is also running hot of late as they have won their final six games heading into the OUA playoffs which included a sweep for February. The Gaels finished with a respectable 6-4 road record this season and were led by
Caroline Livingston who finished fourth in the OUA with 247 kills while
Danielle Corrigan averaged 0.51 aces per set, fourth best in the conference.
Queen's and Western met just once in the regular season with the Gaels hosting Western on the opening weekend of the season. The Mustangs were able to leave Kingston with a 3-2 win over the Gaels in a close match throughout the game.Â
The Mustangs finished the season at 14-5 and closed out their season having won eight straight matches. The Mustangs lost just once at home this season dropping a 3-2 decision to McMaster in November. They were led this season by veteran Kelsey Veltman who finished second in the OUA with 261 kills and a 0.344 hitting percentage.
