Steven Lee picks up a pair of silvers as men finish 6th and women 8th at OUA swimming championship
St. Catharines, Ont. – Veteran men's swimmer
Steven Lee picked up his second medal of the weekend during the OUA Swimming Championships at Brock University on Saturday.
Lee closed out the championship with his second OUA silver medal performance. He swam 28.63 in the 50m breaststroke, just 0.79 seconds off of the gold medal swimmer.
On Thursday, Lee picked up his first medal of the championship swimming a 1:01.80 in the 100m breaststroke just one second off the top spot. Lee also took home OUA All-Star honours for his silver medal finishes.
On the final day of competition, Queen's picked up their third medal thanks to
Victor Uemura who won bronze in the 200m individual medley with a time of 2:05.43.
On the women's side, the 800m freestyle relay team of
Emily Hubert,
Erin Lee, Elise Laupland and Julia Mckenna finished sixth in a combined time of 8:44.21 while the 400m medley relay team of Madison Otsuki,
Jayne Kim, Gabrielle Lagace and
Erin Lee also took sixth in a time of 4:28.76.
