North Bay, Ont. (October, 27) The Queens Gaels (0-2) lose in straight sets against the Nipissing Lakers (2-0) on the road this afternoon.
GAME FLOW
The Gaels hit the court today for their second season match against the Nipissing Lakers. The first set laid down the tone for an evenly matched game. The Lakers won the opening set by four points, 25-21. The Gaels scored 14 kills in the second set to the Lakers total of 12, however, the Gaels are unable to pull ahead with Nipissing taking the second set 25-22. T
Queen's continued to hit the Lakers with kills in the third set, again leading 13-12 in kills, but were unable to take the third set. With the Lakers maintaining their lead 25-20 to sweep the match in straight sets.
The Gaels held a kill percentage of .225 to the Lakers .289, with digs being even at 33 for both teams. Adam Bolijikovac lead the Gaels with 20.5 points, 33 total attempts and 19 kills.
Lukas Kaufman kept up with a total of 13 digs, and
Zane Grossinger completed 29 aces.
