st, 2019) No.7 Queens Gaels (1-2) defeated the No. 4 McMaster Marauders (2-1) in straight sets in their home opener on Friday night.
GAME FLOW
In a rematch of last season's Forsyth Cup, the Queen's Gaels were up for a difficult test against McMaster.
The Gaels opened the match with an impressive first set defeating McMaster 25-23. Queen's held just as strong in the second set, as the Gaels took the second 25-20, with a huge block from
Zane Grossinger to seal the set victory.
McMaster attempted to mount a comeback entering the third set with Queens leading 2-0.
The Gaels took home the third set 25-20 winning the match 3-0 over the McMaster Marauders.
Erik Siksna lead the way for Queen's with 15 kills, while
Adam Boljkovac followed with 12 kills and Jordan Pereira had a strong defensive game with six digs.
