nd, 2019) The Queens Gaels (3-2) defeated the Brock Badgers (4-1) to close out their opening weekend at home.
GAME FLOW
Mitchell Neuert's serves ignited the Gaels to take an early lead for Queen's and
Joel Rudds led the Gaels attack with a handful of first set kills to win the first set for Queen's 25-20.
The second set was a tenacious offensive battle.
Zane Grossinger played an integral role for Queen's and despite the Badgers best efforts, the Gaels pull ahead and won the second set 25-20.
The third set proved a challenged for the Gaels. Despite impressive serves and kills from first year
Erik Siksna, and equally impressive rallies, the Badgers manage to pull ahead and won the set 25-17. Long, hard rallies characterized the fourth set, as well as huge offensive kills by Gaels outside hitter
Adam Boljkovac. Boljkovac finished the match with a total of 26 kills. However, the Gaels were unable to stop the Badgers momentum as they carried the fourth set 25-20.
The Gaels ultimately rallied in the fifth set to silence the Badgers comeback attempt 15-10 and won the match 3-2.
