OTTAWA (January 18, 2019) – The Queen's Men's Basketball Team (8-7) fell to the Carleton Ravens (15-0) 95-65 on Friday night at the Raven's Nest.

While the Gaels were able to keep things close early, with Queen's even leading Carleton 12-9 midway through the opening quarter, the Ravens showed why they are the No. 1 ranked team in the nation as the quarter went on, finding seven points off the bench and taking a definitive 21-12 lead into the second quarter.
The Gaels managed to keep things slightly closer in the second quarter, but the Ravens well-balanced scoring approach and timely shooting led the home team to a 41-26 halftime lead.
Leading the way for the Gaels in the first half was
Jaz Bains with six points, while Eddie Ekiyor led the Ravens with nine points and four rebounds. The Ravens scored 11 points off Gaels' turnovers in the first half and found 21 points, more than half of their first-half scoring, from their bench unit.
The Ravens cruised in the second half, extending their lead and easily securing a 30-point victory 95-65 over the Gaels, winning their 15thgame of the season and maintaining their perfect OUA record.
Quinton Gray led the Gaels in the game with 15 points on 5-9 shooting, while Eddie Ekiyor had 18 points in only 22 minutes for the Ravens. The Ravens shot just over 56% as a team from the field and doubled up the Gaels in assists (18 to 9).
