KINGSTON, Ont. (September 23rd, 2018) – The Queen's Women's Soccer Team (5-2-1) drew the Carleton Ravens (4-3-3) in a cautious 0-0 contest on Sunday at Richardson Stadium.
GAME FLOW
The first half was a largely defensive battle, although Queen's dominated possession. Queens' best chances of the half were created by fourth year forward
Jenny Wolever, who registered 3 shots (2 on target). Perhaps the best chance of the half came in stoppage time when Carleton forward Tori MacFarlane sprung in alone on goal but sent her shot just inches wide of the target.
It was more of the same for the Gaels in the second half as they controlled the majority of the play but failed to capitalize on their chances. One of the standout players for the Gaels in the second half was first-year Vancouver native
Christie Gray, who generated numerous chances and registered 2 shots.
A frustrating weekend for the Gaels ended in a scoreless draw.

Dave McDowell responded: "I thought we played well for the most part – we were a bit sloppy in the first half but played well in the second and generated a good amount of chances. We're struggling to score at the moment but hopefully that's something we can sort out on the training ground for next weekend."
