Women's rugby cruises to 68-10 win over Western

| By:
LONDON, Ont. (September 2, 2018) – The Queen's women's rugby team put on a dominant display in their road 68-10 win over the Western Mustangs.

Eight different Gaels connected for 12 tries on the afternoon lead by Sophie de Goede's team-high three.

Rachel Hickson and Hannah Daniels each had a pair, meanwhile Lydia Salgo, Bridget Peros, Sadie Steohenson, Anna Killacky and Kianna Kozak all put down tries of their own for the Gaels.

Nadia Popov also had four conversions in the blowout victory.

FINAL SAY
"Overall I was very happy with our performance. Our Tight 5 were dominant at scrum time, providing us with a strong platform to attack from anywhere on the park, and creating havoc for Western's attack. Our support and counterattack were very effective in the wide channels today as well," said head coach Dan Valley.
