He led the team to their seventh consecutive OUA final in 2024, dominating Western 72-0 in the semifinals before falling 26-24 to Guelph in the championship match.
The OUA Championship was also the Gaels' second in a row after Valley helped Queen's capture the conference championship after an undefeated OUA season in 2023.
Valley was named the OUA Coach of the Year in 2021 after leading Queen's to a national championship, their first in program history, in front of a home crowd at Nixon Field at the U SPORTS Women's Rugby Championship. The Gaels also captured the OUA silver medal in 2021.
Valley led the Gaels to an OUA silver medal in each of his first two seasons as Head Coach, before claiming the OUA title for the second time in program history in his third season at the helm in 2019.
In his first season as Head Coach, Valley led the Gaels to an OUA silver medal finish and got the team to the U SPORTS national championship.
In the spring of 2018, Valley was named an Assistant Coach for Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team.
Prior to his time at Queen's, Valley was the Head Coach of Rugby Canada's U18 Women’s 15’s program, and was also a Technical Lead for Canada 7’s NextGen program in Ontario.
Valley was an Assistant Coach of the McMaster Marauders Women’s Rugby program that won a CIS Championship in 2015 and his high school program at Oakville Trafalgar (Oakville, Ont.) is regarded as one of the most successful rugby programs in Ontario, winning six provincial medals (three gold, two silver, and one bronze) since 2011.
