GAMES OF THE WEEK
Women's Basketball
The No.8 Gaels (16-3) take on both Toronto (7-12) and Ryerson (10-10) this weekend at the ARC. Both games are set for 6 pm at the ARC Main Gym.Â
Saturday night will be the Gaels senior night, and the team will honour their graduating seniors postgame. This year's graduates are
Andrea Priamo,
Abby Dixon and
Sarah Saftich.
The Gaels enter the weekend having won five straight games and are looking to lock up a bye in the opening round of the OUA playoffs.
Abby Dixon continues to be a top defender in the OUA as she currently leads the conference in steals per game at 3.5. She recently passed the 200 mark in career steals and is closing in on 750 career points.

Men's Basketball
It's a big weekend for men's basketball as Queen's (11-8) is trying to stay ahead of Toronto (9-11) who visits Kingston on Friday night at 8 pm. The following night Queen's welcomes No.9 Ryerson for the Gaels senior night with tip-off set for 8 pm.
Prior to the start of the Gaels final home game of the regular season Saturday, the team will honour graduating seniors
Mike Shoveller and
Sammy Ayisi.
Queen's is looking to chase down one of either Ryerson or Ottawa to ensure a home playoff game in the opening round of OUA playoffs. The Gaels sit four points back of Ottawa and six back of Ryerson, but Queen's holds a game in hand on the Rams.
Queen's will once again look to veteran leader
Tanner Graham to lead the way. The Gaels forward sits 86 points away from reaching the 1,000 career milestone and has 147 career blocks.

Men's Hockey
The No.8 Gaels (18-5-3) are set to close out their OUA regular season this weekend as they visit Ottawa (14-8-4) Friday night before returning home Saturday to take on Nipissing (9-14-3).
Queen's enters the final week of the regular season as the hottest team in the OUA having won six straight games. Queen's has currently tied the program record for wins in a season at 18 which was set last year, and they have two opportunities to break it.Â

Spencer Abraham is closing in on the milestone himself sitting just two points shy. Queen's also boasts the U SPORTS male athlete of the week in
Slater Doggett who is coming off of a four goals in two games performance.

Women's VolleyballÂ
The Gaels (11-4) continue to prove they are among the elite in the OUA and welcome RMC (2-13) this Sunday to the ARC at 1 pm.Â
Queen's is looking to stay ahead of Toronto who sits two points behind the Gaels with a game in hand. The two will meet next Friday in what may determine second place in the OUA East.
The Gaels are coming off of a pair of home victories including a 3-0 sweep of nationally ranked McMaster. Having won their 10th game, it marks the 10th straight year that the team has won 10 or more games.
Rookie outside hitter
Julia Wiercigroch came up big for the Tricolour last weekend and was named the Queen's female athlete of the week or her efforts. After putting up 11 kills, seven digs and an ace in the win over Brock, Wiercigroch saved her best performance for the nationally ranked Marauders. Against McMaster, the engineering student put down 12 kills for an attack efficiency of 0.522 and finished with zero attack errors for the first time in her career.

Men's Volleyball
Queen's (6-8) hosts a lone home matchup this weekend when the RMC Paladins (2-12) visit the ARC Sunday afternoon at 3 pm.
The Gaels are still in the playoff race in the OUA East sitting tied with both Nipissing and Toronto for the final two playoff spots with 12 points. The Gaels have however played one more game than both teams with three weekends left to play in the season.
For head coach
Brenda Willis she is closing in on retirement as she coaches her final season at the helm of the men's volleyball program. Willis has been the head coach of the program for 31 seasons and has won five OUA championships. With a career record of 360-193, Willis will coach her final home games next weekend, February 16 and 17 at the ARC.

Women's Hockey
The Gaels (13-3-3-3) continue to hold down the top spot in the OUA but will close out their season this weekend on the road. The Gaels visit Toronto (13-0-7-2) Friday at 7 pm and close out their regular season Saturday night at 7:07 pm in Waterloo against Laurier (2-1-14-3)
Both Western and Guelph continue to be within striking distance of the Gaels for the top spot in the OUA, but if Queen's can win out in regulation, they will lock up home ice for the duration of the playoffs.
The Gaels have beaten both Toronto and Laurier already this season including a 3-0 win over the Golden Hawks last weekend.
Katrina Manoukarakis will also be looking to pad her lead in the OUA scoring race as she sits four points ahead of Ailish Forfar for the conference scoring lead with 27 points.
