Sailing (M/W) Queen's Sailing

Gaels compete in Nevin's Cup Regatta

On the weekend of October 13th-14th, the Queen's Sailing Team traveled to King's Point, NY to compete in the Nevin's Cup Regatta.

The host school ran a smooth and efficient regatta and completed all racing for both the FJs and 420s on the Saturday. The A fleet sailors, Scott Gittens and Marc de Verteuil, were able to acquire four first place finishes which helped lead to an overall A fleet win. The B fleet sailors, Clara Gravely and Kayla Simmons, also produced consistent, excellent results to give the Queen's team and overall 3rd place tie. This regatta served as a great practice against some of the best teams in the league leading into the mid-season league championship in two weeks. Great job sailors!
