GAMES OF THE WEEK
Women's Basketball
The top two teams in not only the OUA East but the entire OUA are set to do battle this Friday night at the ARC in what will be a rematch of last year's Critelli Cup final and U SPORTS Bronze medal game.
Friday night will pit the two foes back on the same court where the Ravens claimed the Critelli Cup with a 49-41 victory over the Gaels in front of a sold out Critelli Cup crowd of 1,904 fans.Â
The Gaels are focused on redemption as the Ravens have had their number over the past two seasons. The last time the Gaels defeated Carleton was back on October 18 of 2015 in an 81-63 victory. This season, however, no one has been able to beat the Ravens who sit at No. 4 in Canada with a perfect 12-0 record. The No.7 Gaels sit at 11-1 with their lone loss coming at the hands of Laurier in mid-November.
Both teams have had remarkable seasons with Carleton leading the OUA in points, rebounds and points allowed per game and the Gaels sitting second in each category.Â
Things don't get much easier for Queen's on Saturday night as the 7-5 Ottawa Gee-Gees roll into town. They head into the weekend having won four straight games. Tip-off Friday and Saturday are both set for 6 pm at the ARC Main Gym.

Men's Basketball
The Queen's Gaels are coming off a tough overtime loss to a nationally ranked Laurentian team last weekend, but things don't get much easier with the undefeated No.1 Carleton Ravens, and the No.7 Ottawa Gee-Gees set to stop off in Kingston this weekend.
It will mark three straight games for the Gaels against nationally ranked opponents, and there is a possibility of that stretching to four games next weekend as they meet the currently No.10 Ryerson on the 19th.
The Ravens have been challenged in two of their last three games with the Brock Badgers taking them into overtime and the Ryerson Rams falling by nine despite leading into the fourth. The Gaels will look for their first win over Carleton since January 30 of 1998 when the Gaels won 65-64.
The Gee-Gees have two losses on the season, an 80-75 defeat at Laurier, a team the Gaels defeated 77-76, and a 74-53 loss to Carleton.Â

Men's Hockey
A pair of victories last weekend over UOIT has vaulted the Gaels into fourth in the OUA East heading into the weekend by they will have to do battle with two of the three teams ahead of them in the standings.
On Friday, the Gaels (11-4-3) will renew their rivalry with the No.5 McGill Redmen (17-4-0) at 7 pm in Montreal and then take on the No.8 Concordia Stingers on Saturday in Montreal at 7:30 pm.
The Gaels however, are one of the hottest teams in the OUA right now having won four straight games dating back to 2017. Points against the elite in the OUA will go a long way in cutting into the uphill battle the Gaels face to chase them down.
Slater Doggett continues to pile up the points for the Gaels and was instrumental in the Gaels picking up a pair of wins over UOIT last weekend with two points in each game.Â

Women's Hockey
It's a battle of two of the OUA's best teams as the No.8 Gaels (8-3-1-2) play host to the No.10 Brock Badgers (7-3-3-2) on Friday night at the Memorial Centre. Queen's will then head to Toronto on Saturday for a 7:15 pm puck drop against the Ryerson Rams (4-4-4-2).
The Gaels suffered a pair of road losses last weekend ending their nine-game winning streak. A 5-2 loss to Laurentian was also the teams first regulation loss of the season.
The Badgers come into Friday night with a shootout win over York that snapped a two-game skid. It's also a homecoming of sorts for Brenna Murphy, Jensen Murphy and Kailey Peirson as the former GKGHA stars will be looking to take down their hometown's school.
The Gaels will look to get 2018 back on track as
Clare McKellar, who sits second in the OUA in assists and
Katrina Manoukarakis who is third in points, will look to get the offence going Queen's.
The goaltending matchup will also feature two of the OUA's best as the Gaels
Stephanie Pascal sports a 1.40 GAA and 0.944 SV% compared to Jensen Murphy who has a 1.55 GAA and 0.952 SV%.
