PETERBOROUGH, Ont. (February 3, 2017) - The Queen's Gaels (6-8) had no trouble taking down the Trent Excalibur (2-10) in straight sets on Friday night with set scores 25-10, 25-9 and 25-18.
GAME FLOW
Caroline Livingston (Kelowna, B.C.) had a game high 11 kills and 14 points Friday evening to lead the Gaels.
Danielle Corrigan (North Vancouver, B.C.) was also a standout for the Gaels as the first-year outside hitter put down seven kills on 10 attacks for an impressive 0.500 kill percentage.
The Gaels pushed the pace early leaving Trent far behind as the Excalibur were only able to total a combined 19 points across the two opening sets.
The Excalibur pushed the Gaels in the final set however, reaching 18 points but once again falling just short.
Sierra Hardy (Oakville, Ont.) had 19 assists for Queen's while Livingston led the team with seven digs. The Excalibur were led by Carley Gougeon who had 5.5 points for Trent.
