TORONTO (February 3, 2017)- The Queen's Gaels men's basketball team fell short in the provincial capital on Friday night, dropping a 70-59 decision to the U SPORTS No. 5 ranked Ryerson Rams at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

Sukhpreet Singh (Toronto) and
Tanner Graham (Kingston, Ont.) each tallied a team-high 13 points in a losing cause on Friday for the Gaels, who have dropped their last eight regular season contests and now sit at 6-9 on the season. Graham picked up a game-high 14 rebounds en route to a double-double, while
Harry Range (Carp, Ont.) and
Jesse Graham (Kingston) added 11 and 10 points respectively.
For Singh, he now sits just 13 points behind Mitch Leger's Queen's men's basketball career all-time scoring record.
Meanwhile, after suffering their first loss of the season last Friday at Brock, the Rams have put together consecutive victories and improve their record to 15-1. Ammanuel Diressa recorded a game-best 16 points for the Rams, who worked at a 40% (28-70) efficiency, compared to 31.9% (23-72) from the Gaels.
Queen's out-rebounded the Rams 47-43 and limited the hosts to just seven free-throw attempts throughout the match, but managed just nine trips to the foul-line themselves and struggled from beyond the arc, shooting 5-of-27 (18.5%).
