ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Queen's Gaels are at Brock for the Brock Invitational tournament this Thanksgiving weekend.
The Gaels took on the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Thursday night to start off their exhibition tournament.
Queen's battled back trailing 1-0 and 2-1 to force a fifth and final set where they were able to close out the Thunderwolves 15-11.
Set scores finished 21-25, 25-17, 18-25, 25-19 and 15-11.
On Friday Queen's defeated a CEGEP school Andre-Laurendeau in straight sets 3-0 with scores 25-15, 25-17, 25-13 and followed up with a win over Humber College 3-1 with set scores 26-24, 28-30, 25-22 and 25-23.
After also taking down the Humber Hawks, the Gaels drew the host Brock Badgers on Sunday.
Queen's won their fourth game of the weekend defeating Brock 3-0 with set scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-20.
The Gaels had two honours from the tournament as setter
Sierra Hardy took home a tournament All-Star nod while rookie outside hitter Julia Wiercigroch was named the tournament MVP.
