Calgary, Alta. (October 14, 2016) - The Queen's men's volleyball team is in Calgary this weekend for the Dino Cup.

Saturday
L 3-1 vs. Calgary
Queen's played a close game against the tournament hosts, but fell in four sets 25-23, 25-13, 24-26, 25-23.
Scoring at least 23 points in three of the four sets, the Gaels put in a solid effort in Saturday night's defeat. Fighting to continue the game in the third set, Queen's pushed the Dinos to extra points and came away with the 26-24 win to force a fourth, where the tricolour fell just short of going to five sets.
Friday
L 3-1 vs. Alberta
The Gaels fell 3-1 to Alberta in the opening game of the Dino Cup in Calgary, 25-15, 19-25, 25-17, 25-15.
Marcus Trence (Orangeville, Ont.) had the most success on offence for Queen's, recording 14 kills over the four sets.
Jamie Wright (Kingston, Ont.) was the earned 21 assists as the Gaels setter. The strong efforts from both teams on offence didn't leave much room for defence, with no player from either team recording more than seven digs.
Dylan Hunt (Aurora, Ont.) had the best day for Queen's at the net, contributing three assisted blocks.
