KINGSTON, Ont. (January 28, 2014) - Queen's men's soccer captain and OUA East all-star defender Joe Zupo (Toronto) has been given a professional tryout with Exeter City Football Club, a league two division four team in England.
Zupo was on hand as the Kingston FC made several announcements on Tuesday at the Queen's ARC about their upcoming season, partnership with Queen's Athletics & Recreation and exciting player news including that of Zupo who played for the Kingston FC team last summer.
"It's always been a dream of mine to play and to have opportunities like this one," said Zupo on Tuesday as he prepares for his tryout. "Queen's over the four year's that I've been here has been instrumental in both my growth as a player and a person. I'm expecting a different style of game a very fast paced game and I know what I'm good at I've done a lot of work. I'm in the gym as often as I can be and I'm playing as often as I can get a touch on the ball so I'm doing everything I can."

Zupo will travel to England for his try-out on February 8th which will last just over three weeks.
Kingston FC Chairman Lorne Abugov assured fans that Zupo will also have a roster spot reserved for him on the FC should he return to Kingston, but is excited for Zupo and the opportunity he has ahead of him.
