BOX SCORE KINGSTON (November 3, 2013)- Queen's topped cross-city rivals RMC 25-21, 25-13, and 25-7 on Sunday afternoon in their home-opener at the ARC main gym.

The match started with sloppy play from both sides, as the Gaels picked up nine attacking errors to the Paladins five in the first set. Queen's managed to win the first set, despite trailing 16-14 at the technical timeout.

The Gaels improved on their quality of play as the game progressed, finishing RMC in the third set, in which they recorded zero attacking errors.

Brett Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.) put on a clinic for Queen's, picking up game-highs in digs and kills, with 13 and 11, respectively.

With the win, the Gaels move to 2-1 on the season and play host to No. 4 York (4-0) and Nipissing (0-5) next Friday and Saturday at 6pm.
