Game of the Week - Football vs Guelph
Football: In their second homecoming matchup this year, the No. 5 Gaels are the game of the week as they play the No. 4 Guelph Gryphons at 1pm in Richardson Stadium. The Gaels are coming off a 78-21 demolition of Waterloo, scoring the second-most points in Gaels football history. The Gryphons have showcased their stingy defense this year, allowing just 102 points this season, the fewest in the OUA. After falling to the Gryphons 42-39 in last year's OUA semi-final, the Gaels need to be firing on all cylinders to hand Guelph their first loss of the year on Saturday.

TEAMS AT HOME

Men's Volleyball: In their final exhibition games on the season, the men's volleyball team is hosting the Queen's Invitational Tournament this weekend, with the University of New Brunswick, Manitoba, and the Université de Montréal attending. The Gaels' games against New Brunswick and Manitoba go Friday and Saturday at 8pm. On Sunday, the Gaels play Montréal at 3:30pm. An October 25th game against Guelph marks the start of the Gaels' regular season.

Women's Volleyball: With the Queen's Invitational Tournament this weekend, the women's volleyball team are playing host to Dalhousie, Manitoba, and Sherbrooke. The Gaels take on Dalhousie on Friday and Manitoba on Saturday, with both games starting at 6pm. Sunday's game against Sherbrooke is at 1:30pm. The Gaels' season-opener is October 25th against Ottawa.

Women's Soccer: The women's soccer team will look to climb the standings heading with their final regular season games against the Laurentian Lady Vees on Saturday and the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday. Both games kick-off on the West Campus Turf at noon. The Gaels are 2 points back of third-place Carleton heading into the weekend, with Laurentian and Nipissing sitting in the fifth and sixth spots.

Men's Soccer: The Gaels are closing out their regular season with a pair of homecoming games on the West Campus Turf at 2:15pm against the Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday and the Nipissing Lakes on Sunday. Laurentian is 1 point ahead of the Gaels in the standings, so a pair of wins this weekend would move Queen's into third in the OUA East heading into the playoffs.

Men's Rugby: The men's rugby team closes out their regular season this weekend with a homecoming matchup against the Brock Badgers on Saturday at 4pm on Nixon Field. Playing the 3-3 Badgers, Queen's is looking to head into the playoffs with their undefeated record intact. The 6-0 Gaels have allowed just 45 points while scoring 248. The Gaels' first playoff game will be October 26th

Women's Rugby - OUA Semifinal: After a dominant 72-22 victory against Trent in last weekend's OUA quarter-final, the women's rugby team is up against the Western Mustangs on Saturday in the OUA semifinal. Western won their quarter-final 34-3 against Waterloo. The Gaels are looking to make it to the OUA final for the second consecutive year, where they fell to Guelph 10-6 to last season. Game time is 1pm on Nixon Field.

Women's Hockey: The Gaels have two games this week in women's hockey against Brock on Thursday at 7:30pm and Guelph on Saturday at 3pm. Thursday nights game is at the Memorial Centre while Saturday's afternoon affair will be hosted in Napanee at the Strathcona Paper Centre. Both of Queen's goalies, Mel Dodd-Moher (Stittsville, Ont.) and Caitlyn Lahonen (Sharon, Ont.), are in the OUA top five for goals against average and top 10 for save percentage. The Gaels come into this weekend at 2-0-1, while Guelph sits at 3-1-0 and Brock is a winless 0-4-0.

Men's Hockey: The Gaels are in action twice this homecoming weekend in men's hockey, playing York on Friday and Brock on Saturday. Both of the Gaels' games are at the Memorial Centre and get underway at 7:30pm. The Gaels are looking to get into the win column after an overtime loss in their season-opener against Waterloo. York is 3-0-0 heading into this weekend, and Brock is 2-1-0.

Lacrosse (M): The men's Lacrosse team is in action this weekend when they host the Trent Excalibur on Friday night at 8:00pm on West Campus Field. The team is coming off a pair of victories over Concordia last weekend.

Sailing: The sailing team is hosting the CICSA Fleet Racing Nationals this weekend, with action getting underway at 9am on Saturday and Sunday. The Gaels sail out of the Kingston Yacht Club.
