BOX SCORE KINGSTON, Ont. (February 4, 2012) - A game-high 18 from Ottawa's
Nikola Misljencevic led the Gaels (2-16) to their second straight win of the season over the Royal Military College Paladins (0-16) this Saturday evening in Kingston. The final score of the game was 72-41.
The Gaels started hot on their first at home victory of the season. They came out energized, scoring 19 points and holding the Paladins to only 4 points in the first quarter.
Queen's carried their energy throughout the game, scoring 15 or more in each quarter. Their defense stayed strong throughout.
The Paladins were held to 41 points on 26% shooting. The Gaels also controlled the glass on both ends of the court, snagging 49 boards, including 10 from
Mackenzie Simpson of Ottawa. Simpson also added 10 points for the double double.
The Gaels look to continue their success next weekend, as the host the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees at the Arc next Friday night. Tipoff is set for 8:00pm.
