Football - The Gaels (6-2) host Wilfrid Laurier (3-5) in a rematch of last year's OUA quarter-final. Once again, the Gaels are the No. 3 seed, while the Golden Hawks come into the playoffs with the No. 6 seed. Queen's won the regular-season matchup 42-16 in Waterloo on September 8.
Women's Soccer – The Gaels (11-2-3) closed out the regular season with a win over Trent, and a 0-0 tie at No. 1 Ottawa. Their second-place finish in the OUA East Division gave them a bye through Wednesday's first round. The Gaels will host the U of T Varsity Blues, who defeated RMC 5-0 on Wednesday, in the OUA East Semifinal. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday at the West Campus Field.
Men's Soccer – The Gaels (11-1-2) downed Trent on Sunday, and finished in first place in the OUA East for the first time in many years. The Gaels received a bye through the first round of the playoffs, and will face the U of T Varsity Blues on Sunday. Toronto advanced on penalty kicks over Nipissing after a scoreless draw on Wednesday night. Kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m. on Sunday at the West Campus Field.
Women's Rugby – The Gaels (6-0, 2-0) withstood a late comeback attempt by the Waterloo Warriors last week to prevail 36-27, and punched their ticket to the OUA Championship, as well as next week's CIS Women's Rugby Championship in Antigonish, N.S. Saturday's game is a rematch of the 2010 OUA Championship, which was won by Guelph. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Nixon Field on Saturday.
Rowing – The Gaels head to the Guelph for the OUA Championship this weekend. The Gaels posted strong performances in the Head of the Trent and Brock Classic regattas, and will be looking to repeat those performances at the provincial championship.
Cross-Country – The Gaels head to Toronto for the OUA Championship. The Gaels men are currently ranked No. 5 in the CIS, while the women sit in the No. 8 spot. The Gaels women tied for third in their last race, the Guelph Open, while the men were sixth.
Men's Rugby - The Gaels (6-1) travel to Guelph on Friday night with first place on the line. The Gaels would clinch first place with a five-point win over the 7-0 Gryphons, and can finish anywhere from first to third in the final standings, depending on their result and how the 6-1 Western Mustangs do.
Men's Hockey – The Gaels (2-2) fell 2-0 to the McGill Redmen on Wednesday night. They will be looking for revenge on Friday night when the teams meet at the Kingston Memorial Centre. Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
Women's Hockey – The Gaels (5-0-1) sit atop the OUA with 11 points, but will have a stern test ahead of them on Saturday, as they face the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, who are currently second with a 5-1 mark. Faceoff on Saturday is set for 3 p.m. On Sunday, the Gaels will visit the Waterloo Warriors, with the game set for a 2 p.m. start.
Women's Volleyball - The Gaels are now 7-7 overall, 1-0 in league play, after their thrilling five-set win over Lakehead last Saturday. They hit the road for a pair of matches this week, on Saturday against the York Lions and on Sunday at the Brock Badgers. Saturday's match kicks off at 6 p.m., with the Sunday contest scheduled for 1 p.m.
Men's Volleyball - The Gaels swept their final two preseason games last week at the Université de Montreal, and start league play this week with a pair of road matches. The Gaels visit the McMaster Marauders on Friday at 7 p.m., and the York Lions on Saturday at 8 p.m.
Women's Basketball – The Gaels went 2-1 at the Tindall Invitational Tournament this week, and head to Quebec for their final preseason tuneup. On Friday night, they visit the McGill Martlets – the defending Quebec conference champions – with tipoff set for 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Gaels head just north to the city of Laval, where they will face the Nomades of Cégep Montmorency in a 2 p.m. Tipoff.
Men's Basketball – Men's Basketball returns to action this week at the Brock Classic. The Gaels had previously gone 2-1 at the House-Laughton tournament in Ottawa, and are now 3-2 against CIS teams. They will play McGill on Friday night, in a rematch of the Gaels' 78-69 OT loss in September. On Saturday they face the Regina Cougars, and they close the weekend against the host Brock Badgers on Sunday.
