KINGSTON, Ont. (November 26, 2010) – The Queen's Gaels kept pace with the No. 8 nationally ranked Windsor Lancers, but could not hold on for a upset win. Windsor outscored the Gaels by 10 in the fourth quarter collecting a 68-54 win in men's basketball on Friday.
The Gaels used aggressive defense and the strength of their depth to stay with the Lancers throughout the first half and trailed 36-35 heading into the half. Tim Boyle of Belleville, Ont. had 11 of the Gaels' 35 first half points. Windsor was able to make a small gain on their lead in the third, holding a four point cushion going into the fourth.
Isaac Kuon of Mississauga, Ont. had 28 points for the Lancers. Kuon entered the game averaging just over 20 points per game (ppg). Lien Phillip of St. Mark's, Grenada had 18 rebounds on the night, using his 6'8” frame to overpower the Gaels' front line. Phillip also finished with a game-high five assists.

Dan Bannister of Newmarket, Ont. and Boyle contributing 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Bernard Burgesson of Port Hawkesbury, N.S. pulled in nine rebounds.
The loss moves Queen's to 1-6 record, having lost five straight. However, the team looks to use the positive outing against the Lancers to seek a win when Western visits tomorrow (November 27th). The Gaels finish the 2010 portion of their schedule with an away game at RMC on December 2nd.
