LONDON, Ont. (October 29, 2010) - The Queen's Gaels women's lacrosse team will play for the OUA Bronze on Saturday after two solid performances during Friday's OUA Championships.

Queen's 15 - McMaster 3

Cryderman led the Gaels in scoring while Gwynn Ross of Newton, Mass., and Lisa McLaughlin of Whitby, ont., tallied a hat-trick apiece. The Gaels dominated this contest as they received contributions from seven goal scorers, and only allowed seven shots in the contest.

With the victory Queen's moved on to play the Western Mustangs in the OUA Semifinals.

Queen's 6 - Western 10
Jackie Byers of Mississauga, Ont., and McLaughlin each scored twice as the Gaels dropped their OUA Semifinal match to the Western Mustangs by a narrow four goal margin.

The Gaels were only down one goal at half but could not solve Western's goaltending as they dropped the game by a 10-6 score. Western won the game despite being outshot by Queen's by a 21-17 margin.

The Gaels will now compete for the bronze this Saturday at 4 pm against the Toronto Varsity Blues.   Western will meet Laurier in the OUA final set for 8:00pm on Saturday evening.
