Queen’s represented well at 2009 national championship

OTTAWA (December 8, 2009) – Queen's University fencing programs were well represented at the 2009 national championship held in the nation's capital from November 25-27.

Karl Gardner (Junior Men's Epee) Gold
Jack Chen (Senior Men's Epee)
Christian Petrozza (Senior Men's Foil)
Robert Rundle (Senior Men's Foil)
Laura Bartha (Senior Women's Epee)
Sydney Houston-Goudge (Senior Women's Epee)
Nancy Chua (Senior Women's Foil)
Kim Sakkal (Senior Women's Sabre)

The 'Advanced Fencing Program' offered by Athletics & Recreation which is designed for competitive community fencers was also well represented. Logan Thebault achieved a personal best by placing eighth in the Cadet Men's Sabre. Katie Porter in Junior Women's Sabre and Senior Women's Sabre.
