Queen's Earns Two All-Star Nods And Coach of the Year Award

Kingston, Ont. (February 19, 2008) - Queen's women's skip Lisa Farnell of Peterborough, Ont. was named as a first team All-Star as the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) released its curling awards earlier today. Andrew Inouye of Newmarket, Ont. also earned second team All Star, while head coach Scott Davey was named OUA Coach of the Year.

Farnell was the Gaels' skip helping Queen's to the OUA silver medal last weekend at the conference championship, narrowly losing the final 8-5 to the Laurier Golden Hawks. On the men's side, Queen's finished third, winning the bronze medal after a tie breaker win over Waterloo and semi-final loss to Western. Inouye earned a second team All-Star selection.

Davey coaches both the Men's and Women's Curling teams at Queen's University and brought home a silver and bronze medal for their efforts this weekend.
