Victoria, B.C. (November 10, 2007) - The Queen's Golden Gaels received a great performance from one of their athletes at the CIS Championships in Victoria Saturday. Women's cross country runner Leslie Sexton of Markham, Ont. finished the five kilometre race at Beacon Hill Park in fifth position earning her an All Canadian Team selection. The women's team finished the competition in seventh place overall while the men's team struggled to a fifth place finish at historic Beacon's Hill Park tough 10 km race with undulating terrain and running up Beacon's Hill four times. Leading the men was Rob Kitz of Halifax, N.S. in 13th position while Braden Novakowski of Kingston, Ont. finished 18th. The University of Guelph Gryphons claimed both the men's and women's national banners.
