Men's Hockey Drops Three Exhibition Games

KINGSTON, Ont. (3 Jan. 2006) – The men's hockey Gaels played three exhibition game over the winter break, facing some stiff competition but proving unable to emerge with a victory.

The Tricolour visited Pierrefonds, Que., for the third annual Montreal University Cup. Andrew Gilbert and Wilder Weir each netted a goal in Queen's 4-2 loss to the McGill Redmen on 27 Dec. The Gaels were eliminated from further tournament play the following day with a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Waterloo Warriors.

The Quinnipiac University Bobcats (Northfield, Conn.) provided Queen's final holiday workout on 2 Jan., handing the Gaels a 6-3 loss. Brian Moore, Brady Olsen and Rob Catallo scored a goal each in the losing effort.
