Brady Morrison of Thamesville, Ont. made 48 saves leading the Gaels to an upset victory over the No. 2 UQTR Patiotes on Friday. Morrison was a critical component in the Gaels biggest win of the season turning away several key scoring chances including a huge save late in the second period. The key save saw him sprawl across the crease to make the save maintaining a 1-1 tie. In the follow up game on Saturday, Morrison would tally 29 saves against Concordia allowing only two goals. The win against UQTR is highly impressive given that it was UQTR’s first loss in 12 games and the Gaels were defeated one week earlier 7-1.
