Dave Hill was named Head Coach of the Queen’s men’s and women’s water polo programs on July 20, 2012. The Erinsville, Ont., resident has 35 years of coaching experience at the university, club and national levels.
Hill served as mentor coach with the Canadian Under-18 Women’s National Team from 2010-11, and was the head coach of the Bushido Water Polo club in Winnipeg from 1991-2011. Prior to joining the Bushido club, Hill served as the head coach of the Neptunes club in Winnipeg, the Manitoba Provincial team, the Forest City club in London, Ontario. He has also coached at the university level, serving as the women's coach for the University of Western Ontario from 1977-81.
Hill is a NCCP Level 3 certified coach, as well as being a Learning Facilitator and an Evaluator in the NCCP coach certification program.
Hill was a finalist for the Sport Manitoba Coach of the Year award in the High Performance category, and won the Coach of the Year award for the Development category in 2001.
